Meet Dr. Andrew Wappett

Welcome to our practice! I'm Dr. Wappett, and I love getting to know our community, one patient at a time. I appreciate each of my patients for who they are and respect their opinions and ideas. I realize that open communication is key to my job, and I strive to answer any questions to make sure that each patient is fully aware of their options and care.

Education and Experience
I graduated with a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. I then enrolled in dental school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, and graduated in 2008. After graduation, I worked at the Tanana Chiefs Conference Dental Clinic here in Fairbanks until 2010, when we opened this practice!

In addition to my formal schooling, I am enthusiastic about pursuing continuing education, both on a local and a national level. I feel that it is important to keep up with current evolving techniques and material to provide state-of-the-art treatment options for my patients.

As a member of the North Central Dental Society, a local chapter of the Alaska Dental Society, and the American Dental Association (ADA), I routinely participate in meetings highlighting issues that directly affect Fairbanks. I have a strong public health background, which has made me a well-rounded practitioner, with expertise in a variety of dental disciplines.

Outside the Office
I truly love living in the Fairbanks area. I was raised here and, apart from my professional schooling, have lived here all my life. My lovely wife Courtney and I have four children. As a family, we enjoy the adventurous lifestyle Alaska provides and love exploring different parts of the state. We can often be seen outside running, dog mushing, or fishing.
