I have enjoyed my numerous years of practicing dental hygiene, and have worked with Dr. Wappett since he purchased the practice in 2010. My favorite aspect of care is helping patients individualize their oral hygiene habits with their lifestyle. I enjoy welcoming new patients from the very young to the very young at heart. As a craftsman, Dr. Wappett has excellent dental skills, he doesn't take himself too seriously, and tells a great joke. I like the relaxed, easy-going, yet professional atmosphere in our office.
I am married to my fun husband, Marty, and I am very proud of my children. I love to travel and learn about other cultures and experience the rich history of people and places. In my spare time I enjoy baking, singing, and serving in my church.
I have been working in the dental field for 27 years. I started my dental education in 1995 for dental assisting at community college. I went to UCLA for expanded functions in 2007. I then attended Concord University to get my AAS in dental hygiene and, in 2022, went back to get my BS in dental hygiene. I am very passionate about oral health and love making my patients happy. I am very gentle, and care about patient comfort. I have been working with Dr. Wappett and the rest of the office since the summer of 2023. I really love working at this office because everyone shares the same goal: helping everyone feel like family with a kind and positive attitude.
I’m married to an amazing man, and we have seven children together. Most of them are grown, and moved out, but two of them are still at home. We have eight grandchildren, with three of them living here in Fairbanks. We love living in Alaska with all of the adventurous camping, and outdoor activities.
I graduated dental hygiene school at UAA in 2018, and have been working with Dr. Wappett since 2022. It is important to me that each patient understands that I am here to advocate for health and wellness. What you do at home makes a world of difference and enhances our ability to support your efforts! It is fulfilling to help patients who integrate our recommendations for home care. It may take a little extra attention at home and an extra visit or two a year to see us in the office, but If you work with us, we are eager to work with you. We are here for you and sincerely want to help. I love working with everyone in the office for that reason. Everyone truly cares for their job, and the impact it has on patients.
I was born and raised in Eagle River and moved to Fairbanks 8 years ago. I love camping and hiking with my dog and finding new adventures along the way. I enjoy spending time with my nieces, nephews and the rest of my family.
